I’m thrilled to announce the continuation of the Kerry Magro Special Education Teacher, Therapist, and Aide Grant, which holds deep personal significance for me. This grant is rooted in my own journey from being a nonspeaking child with autism to becoming a professional speaker, author, and advocate.
My life was profoundly shaped by the educators, therapists, and aides who believed in me before I could fully express myself. Their patience, creativity, and commitment to meeting students where they are not only helped me find my voice but inspired me to use that voice to make a difference for others. Without these incredible professionals, I would not be where I am today, and I am forever grateful for the impact they had on my life.
This grant is open to U.S. schools and is designed to support not only special education teachers, but also the dedicated therapists and aides who play a critical role in creating inclusive and supportive learning environments for students with disabilities. Whether you are a teacher, therapist, or aide, this $1,000 grant is intended to help you access resources that make a meaningful impact during the 2026–2027 academic year.
Grant funds may be used for a variety of needs, including (but not limited to):
- Sensory tools
- Adaptive or assistive technology
- Specialized curriculum materials
- Classroom or learning-space modifications
